Preparation
ONE SHOW
Please use the following when also preparing your Public Service submissions.
NEWSPAPER AND MAGAZINE
- Submit only as UN-MOUNTED tear sheets or proofs.
- Work must be submitted as actual size in the format published. No enlarged images.
- Affix translations, if needed, to the back of the piece.
- Supplements may be entered in full-page magazine categories. You do not need to break it into tear sheets. One complete supplement is the same as one single ad.
- A print campaign must consist of 3 - 5 ads. Campaigns with more or less will not be considered.
- Color applies to work done in two or more colors including logos.
- The same ad may not be entered in both consumer and trade categories.
- The same ad may not be entered in both public service and consumer categories.
- The same ad in different executions may not be entered in the same categories.
- Print campaigns must be taped together lengthwise in a row. Not taping campaigns together can result in lost or misplaced pieces of a campaign.
SMALL SPACE
- Submit only as un-mounted tear sheets or proofs.
- Under a full page for magazines and under 1/4 page for newspapers will be accepted.
- Work must be submitted actual size. Blow-ups are not accepted. Work not submitted in published size will be disqualified.
OUT OF HOME/OUTDOOR
- Out of Home entries must be submitted as a hi-res JPEG: 300 DPI, CMYK color. The longest side should be 2400 pixels. Slides and Prints will not be accepted in this category.
- OOH entries may be submitted through our online upload center or they can be sent in on a CD. Label each file with its corresponding entry number.
COLLATERAL
- Advertising only. Absolutely no Christmas cards, greeting cards, birth announcements, wedding announcements, school reunions, bar mitzvahs or brochures - these can be entered in One Show Design.
- Please send the actual piece. Any piece larger than 48" x 56" must be submitted as a digital image. Please submit a hi-res JPEG: 300 DPI, CMYK color, 2400 pixels.
RADIO
- All entries can be uploaded through the One Show Upload Center or can be sent in on one CD.
- All Radio entries must be submitted as as MP3 files. Please label MP3 files with their corresponding entry numbers located on the entry label.
- A radio campaign consists of 3 spots. If more than 3 spots are submitted, the additional spots will be cut.
- Please include a Radio Log with the CD.
TELEVISION, CINEMA AND NON-BROADCAST ENTRIES
- All video material must be submitted through our online entry system or on a NTSC Beta SP tape. Click here and here to learn more about the One Show Upload Center. You can also watch our upload tutorial here.
- Commercials should be sent in as the version aired on TV or broadcast. Director's cuts, agency cuts or versions not approved by the client will be disqualified.
- If submitting on an NTSC Beta Tape, put all commercials within a single category on one videotape (i.e., If you are entering commercials into 9A and 9B, all commercials submitted into 9A must be on one videotape and all commercials entered into 9B should be on a second videotape).
- If submitting on a DVD, put all commercials within a single category on one Data DVD. All DVDs must be submitted as a Data DVD with separate files. Playable DVDs will not be accepted and may result in your entries being disqualified.
- Two :15 commercials will not be considered as one :30 commercial.
- A television campaign consists of 3 commercials. If more than 3 spots are submitted, the additional spots will be cut.
- A single spot may only appear in one campaign.
- Place 30 seconds of bar and tone at the head of each tape. 10 seconds of black in between single spots and 2 seconds of black in between spots within a campaign.
- Every entry that is submitted via Beta Tape of Data DVD must must have a black slate stating the entry number, client, title and length of spot. Do not add agency information to the slate. If you are uploading your entries, slates are not required.
INNOVATION IN ADVERTISING
All Innovation in Advertising entries must be submitted on a presentation board, CD, or as a mini movie.
Presentation Board: Must be clear, concise and no larger than 48" x 36". Please consider the following points when creating your presentation board.
1. What made this idea unique?
2. How did this idea reach the specific target market?
3. What made your solution relevant to the target market?
4. What was the response to this innovative idea?
Mini Movie: can be no longer than 3 minutes. If the mini movie is longer than 3 minutes, the One Show reserves the right to end the judging after 3 minutes.
Please consider the following questions when creating your movie:
1. What made this idea unique?
2. How did this idea reach the specific target market?
3. What made your solution relevant to the target market?
4. What was the response to this innovative idea?
Submit a MOV for each entry through our online entry system or submit on a NTSC Beta SP tape or data CD/DVD.
EXPERIENTIAL ADVERTISING
- Relates to any work in which the consumer is given the opportunity to create a unique and personal experience with a product or service. This includes brand related events and competitions.
- All entries must be submitted as a mini movie presentation not longer than 3 minutes each. The One Show reserves the right to end the judging after 3 minutes.
- Submit a MOV for each entry on the online entry system or submit a NTSC Beta SP tape or data CD/DVD.
INTEGRATED BRANDING
- An Integrated Branding entry consists of 6-10 pieces spread over a minimum of three different medias. (For example, 2 consumer magazine ads, 3 outdoor billboards, 1 radio commercial and 2 television commercials.)
- All Integrated Branding entries must be submitted as a mini movie presentation not longer than 3 minutes each. The One Show reserves the right to end the judging after 3 minutes.
- Submit a MOV for each entry on the online entry system or submit a NTSC Beta SP tape or data CD/DVD.
BRANDED CONTENT
- Please submit Branded Content entries as a mini movie presentation not longer than 5 minutes each. The One Show reserves the right to end the judging after 5 minutes.
- Submit a MOV for each entry on our online entry system or they can be submitted on a NTSC Beta SP tape or data CD/DVD.
