A Respected International Design Show Comes of Age

Originally composed of design work entered by advertising agencies, One Show Design has grown into an internationally respected design show, receiving over 1,800 entries in 2006 from over 30 countries. Categories in One Show Design range from logo and corporate identity design to direct mail, poster and publication work, environmental and package design, and most recently expanded to include broadcast design work in the form of network IDs, music videos, interstitials and design shorts.

What differentiates this show from others is the history of the One Show as the premier international advertising competition. Although only a few years old, One Show Design has already begun to find its own unique voice and place among the many other design competitions. It inhabits a unique space shared by the advertising and design communities and recognizes the increasing importance design plays in a successful advertising and branding campaign.

One Show Design judges each come from different backgrounds and have different sensibilities -- some old school, some new -- but all with the same high standards. A short list of past judges reveals a who's-who's of praiseworthy contemporary designers -- Neil Powell, Richard Boynton, Anders Kornestedt and Seijo Kawaguchi to name a few -- who have helped push One Show Design to a new level of industry-wide credibility. All winners are invited to NYC each year to pick up the coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencil awards and are also published in The One Show: Advertising's Best Print, Design, Radio and TV, one of the industry's most respected and eagerly anticipated annual publications.
